Dear Readers,
I am here to talk about looks. People have always cared about their looks, especially these days. Many people think that if they are not pretty or handsome, there is no meaning to life. People bully each other and themselves if they have acne, or a facial disfigurement. That weighs people down, sometimes to the point where they commit suicide.
I have a friend who likes to call himself fat and ugly, even though he isn't at all. My best friends and I have contemplated this. We have told him he is not ugly of overweight, but he denies it. He literally only has broad shoulders, which, in this case, all the girls in fictional books would swoon over. But being fat isn't ugly! People who are fat or obese are still very much beautiful or handsome. People who bully them just don't see it, or are too insecure about themselves to notice.
That's the next think I want to talk about: Insecurities about looks. This is a huge thing in our economy. Some people who have insecurities like to make themselves feel good, so they point other people's mistakes or "bad" looks. They want us to feel broken inside, just like they do. But God created us to be who we are today. We are meant to look like what we look like today, whether that was with our acne, deformities, or anything that we don't like about ourselves. It is who we are, so we have to be happy about that, not feel sulky about what other people say about us, because it is not true. We need to STAND UP for ourselves, we need to KNOW and care for ourselves. We need to LOVE ourselves. Be who you truly are, don't hide yourself, don't stay in the shadows a moment longer, because God created you to shine with purpose and beauty.
I also want to add one more thing: Beauty is on the inside. Your personality defines you, not your looks. So shine with your talents and character, not with makeup and jokes about your insecurities.

"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight."

"Real beauty is to be true to oneself. That's what makes me feel good."

"There is a kind of beauty in imperfection."
